Ingenious Use Of Ink Additives Has Wonder Effect On Printing Defects

Thinner:
The viscosity of the ink is high. At this time, we need low viscosity and can't change the color. How to deal with it? When the viscosity of the ink is high, the viscosity will decrease after adding water, but the color will also become lighter, which cannot achieve the desired effect. The correct way is to add an appropriate amount of thinner to adjust. As long as the amount of thinner does not exceed 3%, it will not cause changes in ink color and pH, so we cannot easily add water. If too much ink is added with thinner, foam will appear, and defoamer can be added at this time.
Diluent:
What should I do when I need ink with light color and high viscosity? If you want to make the ink lighter, it is often an illegal operation. If you add water to the ink, although the color is lighter, the viscosity also drops, and the whitening phenomenon of printing will also appear. When the color is dark, we can add a diluent. Note that the viscosity of the ink will increase if the diluent is added. At this time, you can add a small amount of diluent to adjust.
Slow drying agent:
The ink dries easily during printing. Drying too fast will cause the ink to dry on the printing plate during the transfer process and cause blockage, imprinting, and blockage of the anilox roller mesh. At this time, we need to add an appropriate amount of slow-drying agent to adjust, and the amount cannot be higher than 10%. If the slow-drying agent is too much, it will slow down the ink drying time, causing quality problems such as deinking and unclear printing.
Quick-drying agent:
During the printing process, when we encounter poor overprinting, poor printing level, and slow drying, how should we deal with it? This is caused by the slow drying time of the ink. When encountering the above situation, we can appropriately add a quick-drying agent to the ink to increase the drying speed of the ink, and the addition amount should not exceed 3%. Too much quick-drying agent will cause the ink to dry on the printing plate during the transfer process, reduce the transferability of the ink, and cause undesirable phenomena such as white printing.
